Recent tragedies around the world are exposing how preventable many forms of blindness are. Christian Blind Mission International’s Alan Harkey says that’s why they developed a global campaign ‘Vision 2020′. “It’s a plan to alleviate avoidable blindness by the year 2020. God has enabled us to put together a vast coalition of Non-Governmental Organizations with one common goal, and that is to stamp out avoidable blindness.” Harkey says this is a key opportunity for believers to get involved. “I don’t know in recent history when the church has been given the opportunity to reach tens of millions of blind Bartimaeus’ with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
