The Olympic Games are ready to begin; believers are ready with their message.

Greece (MNN)–Greece’s entire armed forces are on a war alert just days before the opening of the summer Olympic Games.

The security issues have taken their toll in the observers coming to the Games, but there are teams who won’t let much get in the way.

Dozens of mission agencies have descended on the area ready to share the message of the Gospel. Greater Europe Mission is involved with outreach efforts in Greece during the Olympic Games.

Many performance groups will be doing programs to keep people busy during their free time. The Greek Bible Institute will house 75 people with ministries at the games.

The Greek Evangelical Church’s outreach program has already distributed thousands of Gospel packets and teams have been picking up trash and handing out “Living Water” bottles in the name of Jesus. Pray that people will respond.
