(Philippines)–Next, heavy storms have been pounding Basilan island, where kidnappers are holding several hostages, including New Tribes Missionaries Martin and Gracia Burnham. The hostages are believed to be out in the elements because the Philippine military is keeping pressure on the kidnappers, who are part of the Abu Sayyaf Group. This means the hostages are moving over muddy trails, with little or no chance to get dry. Pray for the safety, health and encouragement of the group.
